The Lady Cards Varsity Basketball Team, led by Head Coach Cory Morrison, are District Champions for the first time in 22 years.  They had an overall record of 25-10 and going 9-1 in district.  Their lone loss in district was by 3 points in overtime.  The Lady Cards are currently on an 8 game winning streak heading into the Playoffs.  Coach Morrison has the Lady Cards playing at a high level with great discipline.  The tougher the situation, the better the Lady Cards play.  I believe Coach Morrison has the Lady Cards peaking at the right time.

Their first playoff game will be against the Ricebirds of El Campo in Columbus on Monday, February 13 @ 6:30.  El Campo has an overall record of 11-19 and 4-6 in District Play.  They finished 4th  in their district.

I encourage everyone to come out and support the Lady Cards.  Show pride in your community and lets cheer the Lady Cards to victory!  GO LADY CARDS!
